| Dear colleagues,
This year will be held the Fifth Congress of SOTA (https://www.miross.rs/sr/dogadjaji/sota-2016) – in Belgrade (from 13-16. October 2016). President of the Congress is Prof. Dr. Marko Bumbaširević, corresponding member of SASA.
Since last autumn there have been a number of international and national conferences on which we will give brief information (this time of the STA Congress).
Fourth Congress of Serbian Trauma Association, STA 2015, held in October in Vrnjacka Banja. Our specialists and doctors in residency were able to present their results and to innovate their knowledge and were able to communicate directly with experts who show us their achievements: Prof. Krettek from Hanover, Prof. Park from South Korea, Prof. Rommens from Mainz, Prof. Kdolsky from Vienna, Prof. Novikov from Kurgan, Prof. Kalashnikov from Kiev, Prof. Senekovič from Ljubljana etc. During the Congress, several free accredited courses were held. Attention is drawn to the course of treatment of fractures of the lower limbs. At the end of the course was organized competition in correct application of Mitkovic external fixator the tibia and the application of internal fixation in fracture of the distal femur. The first prize in the application of external fixator won with his assistant Dr Slobodan Milenkovic orthopedist from Vranje (application is completed in just 2 minutes). The first prize in the application of internal fixators won with his assistant Dr sci. med. Dušan Petrović from Kososvske Mitrovica. The best oral presentation was presentation of Prim. Dr Čedo Vučković.
